Message from the Board of Directors
During the regular BOD meeting on Nov. 21, the two open BOD positions were filled in a closed ballot conducted by Pat Thayer, Nominations Committee Chair. Congratulations and welcome to the newest TPPC BOD members Mike Rocheleau and Mel Kohlberg. Mike is the Board liaison to the Social Committee and Mel is liaison to the Facilities Committee.
Free Clinic Recap – More than 40 members signed up for the Free Pickleball Clinic led by Mike and Patty Rocheleau on Tues. Nov. 22 at 9am. Mike and Patty explained and demonstrated three of the most common problems on pickleball strategy with players who volunteered to help. They also answered other questions from attendees and then demoed the techniques. Thanks to Mike and Patty for an informative and fun clinic.

Description of the New Instruction Program
The Pickleball Club is piloting a program for beginner lessons. We have two days set aside, Mondays and Fridays at 1pm. The focus of instruction is different for each day and assumes a different level of knowledge about pickleball play. Please read the descriptions below for Monday and Friday lessons and sign up for the one that best fits you.
--Monday Lessons. The lessons on Monday offer a general orientation to the game of pickleball and give basic instruction on how the game is played. Members who have never played pickleball before or have just been out on the court a few times hitting the ball around should sign up for the Monday lessons.
--Friday Lessons. The lessons on Friday are designed to help build the skills of beginner players. Lessons will combine beginner skills and drills with practice play. If you have taken the Monday beginners’ lesson or already have some knowledge of pickleball play, you should sign up for the Friday lessons.
